The Little Mermaid is a statue in Copenhagen, Denmark based on The Little Mermaid by Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen.

History[edit]

When Søren was showing the Simpson family around Copenhagen, he showed them The Little Mermaid statue. He told them that it was a world famous icon of Denmark. Bart then tried to correct Søren saying The Little Mermaid was made by Disney. Søren then told Bart that this was the real Little Mermaid and she was a tragic figure. Bart then asked about her buddy the crab.
