In the beginning of the episode, Homer is seen sleeping in his work place. A fire breaks out so two people comes in and start putting it out with firefighting foam. Homer takes a bit of the foam and makes it into a pillow and continue to sleep. The next scene is in the hospital were Marge is worried about Homer and tell Dr. Hibbert that Homer have been sleeping a lot lately. Dr. Hibbert takes a test and gives Homer the diagnosis narcolepsy. Synopsis
- "Homer is diagnosed with narcolepsy — but instead of returning home with his prescription medication — he returns home drunk. He and Marge visit a marriage counselor and have a trial separation, during which Homer begins dating a 20-something."
