Labor Pains is the first of a three-part comic series, printed in Itchy & Scratchy Comics 3. The comic's last 6 pages were reprinted in Bartman: The Best of the Best! and the whole story in Simpsons Classics 3. In the UK it was printed in Simpsons Comics #54
Synopsis
Scratchy has decided to quit doing cartoons because he is sick of the amount of takes needed and his salary. Despite numerous replacements, Itchy starts to miss him and wants to convince him to come back. Scratchy works his way through a series of jobs including in a fast food restaurant and as an office worker. Itchy repeatedly sneaks into Scratchy's workplaces and injures him until Scratchy plans on killing himself.
