Homer is in the park with Bart, and while Bart's playing, a woman comes up to Homer and flirts with him. Her compliments, however, take a wrong turn when she tells Homer that Bart is lucky to get a trip to the park with his grandpa. Homer tries to convince the ducks that he's sexy, but they mistake Homer's arm waving for an attack.

Homer arrives in the SNPP break room to find his colleagues with new 'crazy' donuts. Homer finds that the box is empty, and so he goes to Lenny who tells him that the man who does the sexual harassment seminars brought the donuts in. Homer goes to him and demands that he tell him where he got the donuts from. "From a man with a card" is the answer, so Homer rings 911 and reports a missing donut cart. Chief Wiggum and Lou fly a helicopter over Springfield looking for the logo of the donut cart. Homer finds the logo, but the Devil Donuts donut cart has sold out of donuts, because the cart owner only makes one batch a day. There's a brief standoff between the cart owner and Wiggum, who points his gun at him and demands him to make more donuts. After Lou escorts Wiggum off, Homer sulks on the kerb, and the cart owner offers Homer a sneak preview at his new donut - one made entirely out of cake. Homer scoffs the donut (or, cake) down and shakes hands with the cart owner, whose name is Terrence.

Homer and Terrence become friends, and Terrence tells him he has come from Portland and that he moved because Portland became too 'played out'. Homer is shocked when Terrence says he has kids because he is too 'cool' to have any. Terrence tells Homer that he and his family are living in a motor home, looking for somewhere to move into. Homer tells him that the house next to his has been on sale forever. Terrence and his wife Emily approve of the house, as they have always dreamed of restoring an architectural masterpiece. Terrence thanks Homer for telling them about the house, and he tells Homer that he's a cool guy. Homer is extremely happy, and asks Terrence if he can man hug him - but Homer doesn't know how to man hug.

Soon, Terrence and his family move into a newly-refurbished 740 Evergreen Terrace. The Simpsons' go to their house, and on their trip there, Homer tells his family to not screw up the visit. Terrence then introduces his pet armadillo, Chuey. In the house, Terrence introduces his wife, Emily, and his kids Corduroy and T-Rex. Homer then introduces his kids, giving them cool names instead of their normal ones.

T-Rex shows Bart and Lisa his bedroom, to which Bart and Lisa "woah" at. The two look around the room, but T-Rex's remarks bore Bart and Lisa and they ask if they can watch TV. T-Rex has never heard of this "T-V", because he doesn't have one. In the living room, Marge and Emily are struggling to think of something they can bring up in conversation. Marge spots a newspaper, the ONION, which has the headline of "Scientists Prove Cat Heaven Real, Human Heaven Not". Emily says that the ONION is a joke newspaper, so Marge reads on and she spots the film ratings, thinking they are fake. Emily then tells her that the film ratings ARE real. Maggie starts wriggling, and Emily says that Marge can go ahead and feed Maggie, because Corduroy could use a snack. Marge is shocked to find Emily breast-feeding Corduroy, and Emily says that she shouldn't feel uncomfortable. Marge finds an excuse for not breast-feeding Maggie at that moment ("Maggie's already milked me today") and tells Homer that they should go when she leaves the room. When Marge reaches the door, she finds that Homer has shaved his head.
