Book Information
|
What Would Jesus View? is a movie guide used by the First Church of Springfield.
History
Homer was babysitting Rod and Todd Flanders and decided to take them and Bart and Lisa to the movies. When they got to Springfield Googolplex Theatres, every kid-friendly movie was sold out. Homer considered taking the kids to Teenage Sex Wager instead, but dropped the idea when Rod and Todd told him that the teen sex comedy had been banned by their church's movie guide and showed him a copy of the book. Homer ended up taking the kids to The Re-Deadening.
Behind the laughter
- The book's title is a pun on the Evangelical catchphrase "What Would Jesus Do?"
- Michael Medved is listed as the author of What Would Jesus View? In real life, Medved is a well-known film critic, but he hasn't written a book by that title.
