Johnny Carson (October 23, 1925 – January 23, 2005) was an American television host and comedian and a legendary media icon. He was best known for his time on NBC's The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He appeared as himself in the episode "Krusty Gets Cancelled".

After a battle with emphysema, Carson passed away on January 23, 2005.

Johnny Carson was voted joint 4th in IGN's "Top 25 Simpsons Guest Stars" along with Hugh Hefner, Bette Midler, Luke Perry and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
