• Mr. Burns' Hounds are descended from the first litter of Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, the first breeder of the Dobermann.
• Warren Buffett sent Mr. Burns a jigsaw puzzle as a bribe.
• The dating app U.S. Male Service is a reference to the United States Postal Service.
• Michael de Graaf offers a priceless Impressionist painting in return for the last puppy. Smithers says that Burns could use a Manet, and Michael says that he has a Monet.
• Michael jokes to Smithers that if you added spikes to vintage vinyl, you'd have half of Vivienne Westwood's career.
