Grampa Simpson's Great Sandwich Caper! is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story first printed in Grampa Simpson's Unbelievable Adventures #1.

Plot[edit]

Page 1[edit]

Grampa is in a spaceship and wonders how he got here. If the reader wants to know how Grampa ended up on the way to Mars, they should read page 17. Otherwise, they should read page 2.

Page 2[edit]

Earlier, Bart and Lisa visited Grampa in the Springfield Retirement Castle. He tells them a story about a sandwich he ate in 1956. He tells the kids that he traded his sandwich for his shoelaces, which he borrowed from a hobo. Lisa asks Grampa if he has any other stories. He decides to tell about his first job, but he does not remember what the job was and asks Bart and Lisa if they know what it was. If the reader thinks Grampa was a bartender, they should read page 18. If they think he was a bus driver, they should read page 9.

Page 3[edit]

Bart says that Grampa fought with a Tyrannosaurus rex on the moon with the help of Bartman, Radioactive Man and futuristic cowboys. Grampa says that the story is too crazy for him. Lisa wants to hear something educational. If the reader wants to hear it, they should read page 14. Bart wants to hear more about the Fighting Days. If the reader wants to hear this, they should read page 16.

Page 4[edit]

Grampa tried to drive the bus over the bridge and managed to drive to the other side. But the Maximum Security Prison was on the other side and they all ended up in jail. He then decides to tell a story about how he escaped with the help of a poster of Rita Hayworth, but Bart and Lisa don't want to hear it. The End.

Page 5[edit]

Grampa is jumping overboard and lands in a yellow wood on a frosty day. He has two routes to choose from. If the reader thinks Grampa took the left path, they should read page 13. If they think he took the one on the right, they should read page 8.

Page 6[edit]

Grampa was once friends with Cannonball Adderley. One night, he was asked to play the trumpet. He had never played the instrument before but gave it a shot. Grampa wonders if he became the coolest guy in the room or if he crashed and burned. The story continues on page 11 because he was never cool.

Page 7[edit]

Grampa orders a turkey sandwich and enjoys it, and he tells Bart and Lisa that the story is over and falls asleep. Bart and Lisa are happy that the story is over. The End.

Page 8[edit]

Grampa decided to take the path on the right, where he met his future self, who begged him not to follow the path because it would lead to the apocalypse. He managed to stop him because he built a time machine with the help of a magic moon rock. If the reader decides that Grampa continued on the path, they should read page 3. If they decide that he turned around and went the other way, they should read page 13.

Page 9[edit]

Bart tells Grampa that he was a bus driver and the Mafia kidnapped the bus, forcing him to drive away from the police. Grampa tells the kids that he had two choices when he drove the bus. If the reader thinks that Grampa rode through a plate glass window factory, they should read page 12. If they think he drove over a broken bridge, they should page 4.

Page 10[edit]

Grampa destroyed the lock with a ray gun and inside was a talking moon rock. The stone told Grampa that it could grant his greatest wish. If the reader thinks Grampa wished for a turkey sandwich, they should read page 7. If they think he wished for respectful grandchildren, they should read page 22.

Page 11[edit]

Grampa played terrible music and was thrown out. After he was kicked out into the street, he saw a sandwich store. He had two sandwiches to choose from and he does not remember which, so he let Lisa decide. If the reader thinks it was a turkey sandwich, they should read page 7. If they think it was a ham sandwich, they should read page 19.

Page 12[edit]

They drove through the window factory and survived. The police stopped hunting them and the mafia asked him to stop the bus, and they escaped into the forest to sell some moon rocks. Grampa had two choices. If the reader thinks he decided to find a new job, they should read page 18 If they think he walked into the forest, they should read page 13.

Page 13[edit]

Grampa walked through the forest and found the house of a gypsy. He meets the gypsy, who tells him that he will have many choices in his life. He does not believe this and accidentally breaks the crystal ball. The gypsy curses him to run in circles for the rest of his life, and the curse can only be broken when he decides what he wants to have the most in the world. Grampa runs away. If the reader thinks Grampa broke the curse, they should read page 16. Otherwise, they should re-read page 13.

Page 14[edit]

Grampa is losing a wrestling match as Glamorous Godfrey. Deondre the Giant tells him that there are more important things to fight for than a sandwich, such as his family. He realizes that a ham sandwich is not worth fighting over, but a turkey sandwich definitely is. The End.

Page 15[edit]

Grampa and his crew were attacked by a baseball team but they won the fight. The other pirates is soon tired on his history and dropped him off by the next port. If he's still going to continue battling read page 20, if he chose to walk into the forest read page 13.

Page 16[edit]

Grampa tells the kids that in 1997 he took charge of his life and chased his dream: he started an organic Styrofoam company. Lisa is outraged by Grampa's stories because they are fake. He tells them that he just wants them to think he is cool. If the reader thinks Grampa has earned the kids' respect, they should read page 22. Otherwise, they should read page 2.

Page 17[edit]

Kang and Kodos ask Grampa if he wants to be in a space war and because he has nothing to do, he accepts the offer. He lands on Mars, where he strikes down the Communists. He manages to find a treasure chest in a cave on the planet, and uses his ray gun to open the lock. If the reader thinks it worked, they should read page 10. Otherwise, they should read page 21.

Page 18[edit]

Lisa tells Grampa that he was a bartender. He tells them that he owned a popular bar. His favorite customer was Cannonball Adderley, which impresses Lisa. Bart asks if he was on a pirate ship, but Grampa does not remember. If the reader thinks Grampa was on the ship, they should read page 15. Otherwise, they should read page 6.

Page 19[edit]

Grampa has decided which sandwich he should have, but the last one was recently purchased by Deondre the Giant. He decides to wrestle him to get his sandwich. The story continues on page 14.

Page 20[edit]

Grampa joined the army. Bart asks if he fought zombies, which he did. Bart asks if Grampa also fought vampires and zombie robot vampires, which he did. If the reader wants to read more about the fight, they should read page 3. Otherwise, they should read page 13.

Page 21[edit]

Grampa fails to open the treasure chest and gets help from the space pirates who wanted to help him. As they are about to open the chest, they are attacked by a baseball team. If the reader decides that Grampa escaped, they should read page 5. If they decide that he continued with the fight, they should read page 15.

Page 22[edit]

Grampa tells the kids that what he wanted was respectful grandchildren, but can't remember if he received that or not. Grampa tells the story to Kang and Kodos, who cannot stand to listen to him anymore and send him on a mission to Mars to take back the moon rocks the communists stole from them. Grampa is unsure what to do. If the reader wants to read about his mission to Mars, they should read page 1. Otherwise it's The End.
