Plot
The movie follows Mr. Smith, a congressman played by Mel Gibson. He discovered that congress is not as he imagined and decided to take fight for the lost cause. After that he pretended to pass out at congress during a speech, Senator Payne mocked him. Mr. Smith then got up and threw an American flag through Senator Payne's chest, killing him. He battered then two other members before he got a gun from one on the press who sat in the stands, played by Homer Simpson. Then he killed many in congress before he blew up the United States Capitol in the air. The President of the United States entered the room and demanded to know what was going on. Mr. Smith then grabbed the US Senate seal and threw it at the president, decapitating him. Mr. Smith was then honored by the kids and left his badge.

A test screening of the original remake was done in Springfield in the Aztec Theater in which the film was acclaimed by all except Homer Simpson. Mel Gibson then went to Homer to get his help in remaking the film.
