- This is a parody of the 1966 Broadway musical It's a Bird... It's a Plane... It's Superman, a musical starring the famed titular DC Comics superhero. It did not catch on with audiences and closed three months after it opened during its' original Broadway run.
- The title is a play on the 1967 Peanuts musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
