Comic Story information
|
Synchronicity for Two is a Simpsons Comics One-Shot Wonders story first printed in Professor Frink's Fantastic Science Fictions #1.
Part of the story is in 3D. The 3D-part was in 2D at Bongo Comics Free-For-All 2014. See below for other changes.
Synopsis[edit]
- "A routine science demonstration goes horribly awry and Professor Frink finds himself trapped between dimensions with local troublemaker Bart Simpson. Can they navigate this strange otherworld and get back safely before the end of sixth period?"
Plot[edit]
Professor Frink gives a lecture for Bart's class, where he talks about his invention that can provide proof of existence of multiple dimensions. Martin then tells him that Plasmo has gone through several alternative realties, but Frink points out that it's a comic, and he is talking about reality. Bart gets bored and starts playing with Frink's device, and he accidentally sets it off and Frink and Bart travel out of the classroom into and Martin's comic. There they meet Starla, who knows that Bart and Frink should not be there and calls for Plasmo to help them return back to their dimension. Just as Plasmo is about to send them back, they are attacked by Sand Snake. Snake manages to take Starla and Plasmo, but Frink successfully releases them and turns into glass after he solidifies when he uses one of his inventions. Plasmo sends them back to school, then Plasmo and Starla eat dinner together and Plasmo takes off his mask.
Other changes in the 2D Version of the story[edit]
Due to the removal of the 3D several elements were removed or changed:
- The dialogue (as seen in the picture above) was changed to:
- Bart: This place is all cuckoo crazy!
- Frink: And I've got no idea how to get us back! Oh, if only I had paid more attention during the last Twilight Zone marathon!
- The footnote referring to the 3-D glasses, "Whaddya know?! Bongo's provided a pair in this very issue! Put 'em on now and thank us later! -Ed" was removed.
- The footnote in the panel where Bart and Frink are first back in class, "Whew! You can remove your goggles now. -Ed" was also removed.
