• There are many Batman parodies throughout the book.
• In Designing the Right Costume for You! there is a character dressed like Batman with a Captain America-style shield and Mjolnir, Thor's hammer.
• In "Juggling Your Civilian Life with Your Super Duties", Jimbo, Kearney and Dolph dressed as criminals have same numbers as the Beagle Boys written on their sweaters.
• The Bartmobile is a parody of the Batmobile.
• In "Action Figure Fold-Ems", The Rock Collector is a parody of The Thing and American Pieman is a parody of Captain America.
• Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman are seen in "Market Your Brand the Bartman Way!".
• In "A Rogues' Gallery of Lesser-Known Villains":
  • The Creeping Dread is a reference to The Walking Dead.
  • The Giggler's appearance is based on Cesar Romero's portrayal of The Joker in the 1960s Batman TV series.
  • The Mad Catter is a reference to The Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland.
