Gates told Homer that he had no idea what Compu-Global-Hyper-Mega-Net does so he came to "buy him out" rather than risk competing with Homer's company. When Homer agreed to be bought out, Bill Gates told his goons to destroy everything, saying that he didn't get rich by writing a lot of checks.[1]
