Book Information
|
Larry Snotter and the School for Monsters is a book that is banned in Springfield.
History[edit]
Krusty asks the children to buy Larry Snotter and the School for Monsters on his TV show. This leads to Bart and Lisa wanting the book and Bart gets hold of the last copy of the book but can not be bothered to read it so he gives it Lisa. Bart then goes to the playground where he discovers that everyone is reading the book and no one has time to play with him, so he decides to get them to stop reading the book. He goes home and watches Krusty who only babbles on about the book. After the broadcast, Krusty is furious as the audience was reading the book during the whole airing and when he leaves the studio, he meets Bart. When Bart realizes that Krusty also hates the book, he asks him to get the book banned by going on Smartline. On Smartline, Ned talks about why the book should be banned and Krusty admits to be "defeated" and they will arrange a burning of the books in Springfield. Lisa tries to stop the ban, but fails. Later, Milhouse asks Lisa if Bart can came out and play with him but he is only interested in the book since they banned it.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
Larry Snotter and the School for Monsters is an obvious parody of the Harry Potter series of books/films.
