'''''Jurassic Park''''' is a 1990 novel by {{W|Michael Crichton}} about a theme park where dinosaurs have been cloned and create chaos and destruction when certain things go wrong. In 1993 it was adapted into a blockbuster movie by [[Steven Spielberg]] and became the most financially successful film of all time, after Spielberg's previous releases ''[[Jaws]]'' (1975) and ''E.T.'' (1982). The success of ''Jurassic Park'' was so massive at the time that it spawned a fad around everything related to dinosaurs. Since then Crichton wrote more novels in the ''Jurassic Park'' franchise, while the film adaptation itself received several sequels. The franchise has often been referenced in ''The Simpsons'', usually the 1993 movie.

This article is about the list of references. For the film in the comic, see Jurassic Park (film).

Jurassic Park is a 1990 novel by Michael Crichton about a theme park where dinosaurs have been cloned and create chaos and destruction when certain things go wrong. In 1993 it was adapted into a blockbuster movie by Steven Spielberg and became the most financially successful film of all time, after Spielberg's previous releases Jaws (1975) and E.T. (1982). The success of Jurassic Park was so massive at the time that it spawned a fad around everything related to dinosaurs. Since then Crichton wrote more novels in the Jurassic Park franchise, while the film adaptation itself received several sequels. The franchise has often been referenced in The Simpsons, usually the 1993 movie.
