The episode was written by Jeff Westbrook and directed by Steven Dean Moore. It guest stars John Slattery as Robert Marlowe, Kevin Michael Richardson as a party guest and Matthew Weiner as a nuclear regulator.

- "The Simpsons host a tastemaker party at their home to promote Absolut Krusty, Krusty the Clown's own brand of liquor. Mr. Burns takes notice of the party's success and decides to promote Homer to "Account Man" for the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant. Robert Marlowe, a seasoned account veteran, takes Homer under his wing and shows Homer what the high life is like in the corner office. When Homer's long hours at the office become the norm, a family vacation with Marge and the kids help him realize that family always comes before work."

Krusty announces on The Krusty the Clown Show that he wants a family to hold a party in their house to promote his vodka brand, Abolut Krusty. Bart enters the competition and wins. Bart is then told that he can only have one friend come to the party, even though he won the competition and that they must stay out of the way.
At the party, Mr. Burns comes along, scaring a lot of the guests off. After seeing how Homer is with the guests, Mr. Burns decides to promote Homer to accountant and is given his own office and secretary, Dotty, in the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant Executives Building. Mr. Burns also asks former accountant Robert Marlowe to show Homer the ropes.
