Mrs. Muntz's first visual appearance was "[['Tis the Fifteenth Season]]" when she tells Nelson that his father simply did not like him, and he left with her golden tooth. Mrs. Muntz was more introduced in "[[Sleeping with the Enemy]]." A loud, high-pitched, contemptuous woman, Mrs. Muntz neglects Nelson. She implies that she misses Nelson's father. At the end of the episode, the three Muntzes (Nelson, Mr. Muntz, and Mrs. Muntz) reunite, and she receives a new job as Lady Macbeth, with "the third director she slept with" ("I don't have to take my top off, but I do anyway!").
+
She was seen with black hair a couple of times,<ref name="No Loan"/><ref>"[[The Haw-Hawed Couple]]"</ref> implying that she dyes her hair.

Since then, she is often seen around in Springfield. Curiously, in Season 18's "[[The Haw-Hawed Couple]]," she appears with black hair. As revealed in "[[Dial 'N' for Nerder]]," Nelson even refers to her as "Mrs. Muntz." In "[[No Loan Again, Naturally]]," she has black hair again, and she was kissing Moe. She is voiced by [[Tress MacNeille]].

Sometime after Nelson was born, Mrs. Muntz's husband left her, because she developed an addiction to cough drops.[1]

Mrs. Muntz began a job as a stripper called Hooters.[2]

Marge Simpson once 'adopted' Nelson because his mother was neglecting him. Sometime after this, Nelson's father returned and the family reunited, with Mrs. Muntz having acquired a job portraying Lady Macbeth in the play Macbeth, after sleeping with the player's director.[3] However, this was short-lived, when Mrs. Muntz began a relationship with Moe Szyslak,[4] and then married a clown.[5] She also had sex with Krusty to get Nelson a place on Krusty's show.[6] She has a wall of exes in her home including but not limited to Akira, Barney, Lou, Krusty, Bleeding Gums Murphy, Capital City Goofball, Hank Scorpio, a Police Cops executive, one of Los Souvenir Jacquitos, the City worker, Trucker 4, Trucker 2, Trucker 5 and Groundskeeper Willie. Gary Chalmers at some point paid her for sex.[7]

Mrs. Muntz seemed more caring to Nelson upon an accident following an unauthorized school trip hosted by Springfield Elementary School's then-Superintendent Chalmers, when she hired a lawyer to sue Springfield Elementary.[8]

Mrs. Muntz began a job, also as a stripper, at Classy Girls Strip Club.[9]
