David Mamet is a writer for the TV show Thicker than Waters.

He was mentioned by Homer when he talks to Lisa about plays. He says "You can put a lot of swears in it, that's what David Mamet does".[1] When Moe says "This is the first time I've watered down my liquor" and tells a series of lies one of the things he said was "A snappy David Mamet play"[2]
Mamet appeared in Thicker than Waters: The E! True Hollywood Story, a documentary that took a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the show.
