The Springfield Wall of Fame is a wall that has Springfield's most famous and infamous residents on it, including cartoon characters and animals.
Description[edit]
Each one has a gold plaque with his or her image, name and claim to fame, except for El Barto, who has a "?" sign instead of his image. When a new person is added, a ceremony is held to reveal the new plaque.
History[edit]
Many residents of Springfield attended the ceremony to unveil Vance Connor's plaque. After the ceremony, Vance had many people come up to him to congratulate or greet him. Vance then went through the crowd, greeting people and complimenting everyone.
During the ceremony, Homer got jealous because he ran against Vance Connor for class president in Springfield High School, but lost. After finding out that he should have won the election, to make him feel better his family put a plaque of him up on the wall, along with a plaque of the school mascot, and his vice president, Butthead. To put Homer's plaque on the wall, they removed Principal Skinner's plaque and threw it in the trash.

Behind the Laughter[edit]
Several of the plaques change places between scenes. In the first scene of the episode, Paul Yield's plaque is in the third row, to the right of Chazz Busby, which would make Chazz Busby's plaque the one Homer's replaced. Butthead's plaque would have been Hank Scorpio's plaque. However, in the final scene of the episode, Homer's plaque replaces Seymour Skinner, who was not on the wall in the first scene. Paul Yield's plaque then changes place as it goes to the fourth row, next to Fat Tony, with Poochie then being next to Homer's plaque. Plopper's plaque also changes places from the fourth row to the second row.
Howard K. Duff is called Henry K. Duff on his plaque. Henry K. Duff is the original creator of Duff Beer, but the picture on the plaque is of Howard. Lucius Sweet is also erroneously named "Lucious Sweet".
