Hawaii is one of the 50 states in the US. Its capital city is Honolulu.

History

Troy McClure hosted a television special called Carnival of the Stars, which was broadcast live from the island Molokai in Hawaii.[1]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family was trying to decide on where to go for their next vacation. They were looking at a map of the US that had most of the states crossed out, which were apparently all the states that the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]

When Sideshow Bob granted Walt Warren the decision of choosing which state Bob would shoot him in, Walt chose Hawaii.[3]

Krusty the Clown once sang, while accompanying himself on the ukulele, "I wanna go back to my little grass shack in Kealakekua, Hawaii" (a line of a real song).[4]

Homer once offered to take his family to Hawaii.[5]

Trivia

  • It is against the law to compete in a swim meet in swim trunks in Hawaii.[6]
