Springfield Square Garden is an indoor sports arena located in Springfield. It can host both basketball and football games.
History
The Simpson family attended a Women's National Basketball Association game at the arena, in which Lisa Leslie played. The arena's marquee advertised that courtside seats were available for 30 cents. Also, Homer Simpson had a ticket for a Women's National Football League game between the Cowgirls and the She-gles the day after the WNBA game. This caused some confusion for Homer, as at halftime in the basketball game, it was announced that one lucky ticket holder would have a chance to win $50,000 by taking a shot from half-court. Homer thought he had won because he had the winning seat number, but it turned out he was looking at his WNFL ticket. Ned Flanders won the chance to take the shot, which he made. Ned then announced that he was donating the money to charity, to Homer's dismay.[1]
Bart and Greta Wolfcastle once attended a basketball game, with their respective parents, Homer and Rainier Wolfcastle.[2]
