==Behind the Laughter==

The Smashing Pumpkins are an American Alternative Rock/grunge band with the following band members: Billy Corgan as the lead guitarist and singer Ginger Pooley as the bassist Jeff Schroeder as the rhythm guitarist and Mark Byrne who is the current drummer; although when the episode [[Homerpalooza]] aired in 1996 when the drummer was Jimmy Chamberline, James Iha was the rhythm guitarist and D'arcy Wretzky was the bassist. The song they played in the episode was called "Zero" from their album "Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness", which was realised around the time the episode was made.
