Ed Asner (born November 15, 1929) is an American actor of film, stage, screen and animation. He provided the voice of the Lifeways editor of the Springfield Shopper in "Guess Who's Coming to Criticize Dinner?". He is best known for his role as Lou Grant in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and spin-off Lou Grant. He has also voiced Carl Fredrickson in the Pixar movie Up.
