History

Miss Indiana was a contestant in the Miss American Girl Pageant.[1]

After getting run out of Florida, the Simpson family tried to decide where to go for their next vacation. They looked at a map of the USA that had most of the states crossed out, which were apparently all the states the Simpsons were no longer allowed to enter.[2]

Homer confused India with Indiana and also Indiana with Illinois.[3]
