Synopsis

"Girls just want to have funny."

Plot

The women sit at the Van Houten house to start a book read, but Luann brings out wine. They're worried—not about the drinking, but about her addiction to wine merch, including a work fight over an apron. They suggest switching to coffee or chocolate, but she declines until they settle on "proud slut."

Elsewhere, Malibu Stacy leaves Malibu Stacy Land in search of the little girl who loves her most. She arrives at Springfield Elementary, ignores Lisa, and presents herself to Shauna, who’s mocked for still playing with dolls. Shauna pretends to fight Stacy and suggests meeting at her house. However, when Stacy says she's confronting her fear of growing up, Shauna kicks her head away, landing it at Smithers' feet, and he screams.

At the Muntz house, Mrs. Muntz tucks Nelson into bed, and he asks her to tell him a story of the Kingdom of the Classy Ladies. She tells him about Muntzeena, who loved to dance with her friends until the evil princess Rylee took over the stage, stealing her play. Muntzeena stopped her with her heels, and the door keeper banished her to the morning shift when everyone sleeps off their drinks. Nelson adds that he hooked up with her and took her to Krusty Burger.

At the grocery store, Marge forgets tampons and sends Homer to grab them. Embarrassed, he grabs a graduation card instead and tells Marge to get it herself. When the clerk reminds him of all the embarrassing items Marge buys for him, she starts a song with the other clerks, completely embarrassing Homer until they throw him into a pile of tampons.

When the Sea Captain gets his boat with a shipment of Laramie Cigarettes stuck in the Panama Canal, Patty and Selma panic about their dwindling cigarette supply. They start attacking each other over hidden cigarettes around the house until they’re coughing and set off a cardio alert.

Julius and Bernice Hibbert have a date, role-playing as strangers meeting for the first time, but Hibbert slips up and uses his real name. After some pushing, he gets into character, but when a person starts choking, Bernice refuses to let him intervene. Kirk steps in, role-playing as a doctor, but just ends up hitting the man with a menu.

At the Police Station, Wiggum arrests Luigi for smuggling diamonds in gnocchi. They suggest he get a lawyer, but he wants his mom, who arrives and announces she’s both—the Mamma-At-Law! In court, her closing argument involves hitting the jury to persuade them not to take her son, offering them ziti, and securing a not guilty verdict. Then Lunchlady Dora shares her story of how she buys, prepares, and serves food at the school cafeteria.

At the Simpson House, Lisa goes to sleep after reading The Chronicles of Narnia and dreams of being queen in Narnia, where citizens demand her wisdom. When she suggests improving the kingdom's roads, they ask who will pay for it. She suggests imposing a one-gold-piece tax on every spell cast, but while some demand improvements, witches protest. No matter what she chooses, citizens turn against her and start shooting magic at her, and she wakes up disappointed for not having fun in her dream. Meanwhile, after 50 years of feuding with Janice, Agnes searches for a new partner on Scowlbook and gets lots of likes.

Helen Lovejoy prepares wine from the communion vine box when her radio warns of a massive tsunami heading for town. With 10 minutes left, she downs the rest of the wine, tosses her bra, leaves the church, punches Ned in the face, goes to Moe's Tavern to kiss Moe, then slaps him, and returns home to destroy her husband's toy train track—just before the announcer clarifies it's a sale commercial.

At school, teachers bet on playground injuries until Mrs. Peyton steps in, objecting to the practice. Betting continues until Lisa flips the bird; Peyton claims the money, gives half to Lisa, and she rides off on her bike to witness the end of all stories. Meanwhile, a year and nine months prior, Marge tells Homer how Jake from State Farm does it for her, and they go upstairs for some fun.

Production

During production, the episode was called "Ladies Night". The title is referenced in the episode as part of the Billboard gag.[1][2]
