Action Comics is a superhero comic book series, famous for introducing Superman.

History[edit]

Alice Glick has a booth at the Springfield Swap Meet where she is selling extremely value items for 5¢, including the United States Declaration of Independence, a copy of Action Comics #1, a complete block of 1918 Inverted Jenny stamps, and a Stradivarius violin. Homer saw the items, but did not buy them as he thought they were "junk".[1] Krusty lit a cigar by setting fire to the first issue of the comic.[2]

When Comic Book Guy told Seymour Skinner the story about kryptonite he is holding an issue of Action Comics.[3]

When Comic Book Guy watches Lady Gaga perform, he used a copy of the first issue to wipe his tears.[4]

When Springfield was on their way to be evacuated from a volcano Comic Book Guy had a problem choosing between Action Comics #1 and Detective Comics #27.[5]
