When Chief Wiggum dealt with a report from a person that reported liquor store robbery with an officer down he said ironically to the person "sure", and I'm Edward G. Robinson and hung up the phone.[1]

He appears in the Itchy & Scratchy short, "Dogday Hellody of 1933" where he shot a dog held on trial with his submachine gun, as the jury of Scratchys didn't have time to deliberate and decided instantly to sentence him to death.[2]
