The Simpson family once went there to watch the Monster Truck Rally starring Truckasaurus, which crushes their car. Lance Murdock was injured while performing a stunt at the speedway.[1]

The Simpson family once visited Springfield Speedway, which was now located within the Springfield Nature Preserve. After they almost got hit by Clay Babcock's car, Bart was given a ride around the speedway with Clay Babcock. They were then given tickets to the race.
