Side-gammon is a board game created by Mercer.

History[edit]

When Lisa took Mercer to meet her parents, Mercer revealed his game, Side-gammon, to them. He claimed that the game combined the Stratego-ness of Stratego, the implicit sexual tension of Twister, and the hard-driving whimsy of tic-tac-toe. When nobody wanted to play his game, Mercer went to yell into the washer/dryer.

Hell got an advance copy of the game and the dictators enjoyed it.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

The name "Side-gammon" is a reference to Backgammon. Pieces in his game seem to come from chess, Hungry Hungry Hippos, and Mouse Trap.
