Eudora Welty is an American author.
History[edit]
When Springfield held a film festival, Marge invited Jay Sherman to be one of the judges. Jay accepted and had dinner with the Simpson family after he arrived in Springfield. After dinner, Sherman bragged about the awards he had won, including two Pulitzers. Homer countered by bragging that he had won the belching contest at work. Sherman, refusing to be outdone, gave vent to an enormous belch that echoed throughout the neighborhood and set off car alarms. Lisa, impressed, asked, "How many Pulitzer Prize winners can do that?" Sherman replied, "Just me and Eudora Welty."
After the film festival, the judges met to choose which film would receive the grand prize. Krusty the Clown said he wanted to finish the voting quickly because he had a date with Eudora Welty. Just then, a loud belch was heard from outside and Krusty shouted, "Coming, Eudora!"[1]
She is one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[2]
