- The title of the short is a reference to the Star Wars movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
- The short's poster is a reference to the Star Wars IV: A New Hope film poster.
- Jabba's Hut Jedi Preschool is a reference to Jabba the Hutt.
- Sky Walkers is a reference to the Skywalker family.
- In the room next to that one, models of the Millennium Falcon, an X-wing and a TIE Fighter are seen hanging from the roof. Jango Fett's jetpack is on the wall.
