He has been behind several of Springfield's criminal enterprises. His rackets include illegal gambling, cigarette smuggling, and bootlegging. He has also been seen bribing and making secret deals with [[Mayor Quimby]].

Fat Tony also has a teenage son, Michael, who he drives to school. He is a widower and refers to his wife's death as; "She was whacked, by natural causes." Fat Tony and his associates meet in what is known as the [[Legitimate Businessman's Social Club]].

Fat Tony died of a heart attack after Homer betrayed him while working undercover for the FBI <ref>[[Donnie Fatso]]</ref>.

== Biography ==
An Italian American mobster in his early forties, "Fat Tony" is the head of the D'Amico Crime Family, the prime family in the Springfield Mafia. His fellow mobsters include [[Joey]], [[Legs and Louie]], and occasionally [[Johnny Tightlips]]. Tony's schemes have ranged from supplying rat's milk to the school cafeteria to dabbling in the illegal fireworks racket. His gang also attempts to monopolize various legitimate business. Fat Tony is also a very competent violinist. Fat Tony lives in his mansion, which strongly resembles that of Tony Montana from the movie Scarface, in the upscale residential area of "Springfield Heights", which is also resided by the Jewish entertainer Krusty The Clown and actor Troy McClure. D'Amico has owned several cars such as a black Lincoln Navigator, white Dodge Caravan and an Isotta Fraschini Tipo 8B.

Fat Tony has been behind most, if not all of, Springfield's criminal enterprises. He and his associates meet in what is known as the "Legitimate Businessmen's Social Club." Tony's rackets include the usual organized crime activities such as illegal gambling <ref>[[Homie the Clown]]</ref>, cigarette trafficking, and rum running, but he will sometimes branch out into more unusual activities.

[[Homer Simpson]] once entered a deal with the Springfield Mafia to help [[Marge Simpson|Marge's]] pretzel franchise by driving out rival snack food distributors. Fat Tony demanded 100% of the profits from the business in exchange, only to be stopped by the local [[wikipedia:Yakuza|Yakuza]] (brought in by Marge's rivals). The two gangs then started a mob war (which continued off-screen), with Fat Tony and his gangsters displaying very impressive fighting skills, rather than just pulling out their guns as usual <ref>[[The Twisted World of Marge Simpson]]</ref>. [[Krusty the Clown]] pays the Mafia to keep [[wikipedia:McDonald's|McDonald's]] and [[wikipedia:Burger King|Burger King]] out of Springfield, so that [[Krusty Burger]] can have a monopoly.

In [[Mayored to the Mob]] he made a product called [[Squeaky Farms Brand Genuine Animal Milk]].

Much of Springfield's municipal government is involved with the Mafia. [[Clancy Wiggum|Chief Wiggum]] has been seen taking bribes from Fat Tony (although at the same time Chief Wiggum also tries to hunt him down even going as far as to compare Tony as being a cancer to Springfield, and tries to compare himself to the cure for cancer), and Mayor Quimby is more often than not in on the bribing procedures. Once, Fat Tony bribed Mayor Quimby to allow him to deliver counterfeit milk to the schools, and left Quimby under the impression that he intended to use dog's milk or higher. After his bodyguard, Homer Simpson, stumbled upon the milking facility and blurted out that they're actually milking rats, Quimby was outraged. In retaliation for a raid on their rat milk facility, Fat Tony attempted to take out a hit on [[Joe Quimby|Mayor Quimby]]. Tony once put out a contract on Homer after his private security business interfered with the mob's interests. Homer would have been executed gangland-style if not for [[Maggie Simpson|Maggie]] coming to the rescue with her rifle<ref>[[Papa's Got a Brand New Badge]]</ref>. Marge usually has a more peaceful relationship with Fat Tony, even driving his son [[Michael D'Amico|Michael]] home from school. Originally, Tony was going to be voiced by [[Hank Azaria]]. However, since Fat Tony wasn't a very good drawing, Groening decided to make a ''Special Guest Voice'' do him. Groening chose [[wikipedia:Joe Mantegna|Joe Mantegna]]. In one DVD commentary it is stated that Mr. Mantegna is so enamored with the character that he has forbidden to allow anyone else to voice Fat Tony; he even voiced him when the script only called for a couple of grunts ("[[Sex, Pies and Idiot Scrapes]]"). However, this didn't stop [[Phil Hartman]] filling in for him on one occasion ("[[A Fish Called Selma]]").

Fat Tony is a pastiche of Mafia characters from movies and dramas, especially [[wikipedia:The Godfather|The Godfather]] franchise (and in later seasons [[wikipedia:The Sopranos|The Sopranos]]). His nickname may be a reference to "Black Tony", the Don of the fictional Stracci family in ''The Godfather''. After 1999 Fat Tony is clearly based on Tony Sopranos of The Sopranos. In several episodes the Sopranos intro theme ('Woke Up This Morning' by Alabama 3) is played in scenes with Fat Tony.

"[[Moe Baby Blues]]" featured several interesting references relating to Fat Tony. To entertain his subordinates, Fat Tony puts an orange slice in his mouth in imitation of [[wikipedia:Vito Corleone|Don Corleone]] from ''[[wikipedia:The Godfather|The Godfather]]''. Minutes later, Fat Tony responds to an emotional scene by saying "I haven't cried this much since I paid to see ''[[wikipedia:The Godfather Part III|Godfather III]]''" (in which Mantegna played the character [[wikipedia:Joey Zasa|Joey Zasa]], one of the inspirations for Fat Tony). His son's name is a reference to [[wikipedia:Michael Corleone|Michael Corleone]].

On several occasions Fat Tony's has said something that begins as ominous gang language, only to be proven innocent; one example is "We are going for a ride... By which I mean the carpool" and "Now who's ready to sleep with da fishes?... Because I brought this Finding Nemo comforter!" This also led to some confusion among his fellow mafia members, such as the time when Troy McClure was involved in a scandal involving a sexual attraction to fishes, and he told his fellow gang members that he was "sleeping with the fishes", causing them to misinterpret the meaning to Troy having died when he was actually meaning that McClure was ''literally'' sleeping with the fishes. His house also strongly resembles that of Tony Montana in the movie [[wikipedia:Scarface|Scarface]].

Fat Tony also bears similiarities to notorious mobster Al Capone.

Springfield has been called America's crud basket. It's an ever growing city, despite all the disasters that happen in the town.

Springfield originally existed before 1649 as Sprynge-Fielde, founder and foundation period unknown.

In its early days, the city was the target of many Native American Indian raids, and to this day many forts and trading posts remain (including [[Fort Springfield]] and [[Fort Sensible]]). It was also the site of two battles during the American Civil War.

The second (or official) founder of Springfield was pioneer Jebediah Springfield, widely celebrated in the town as a brave and proud American hero. He famously once killed a bear with his bare hands, and this deed is immortalized in a bronze statue in front of the city hall. However, revisionist historians have since determined that the bear in fact probably killed Springfield, and not vice-versa. The town motto "a noble spirit embiggens the smallest man" is attributed to Jebediah. [[Lisa Simpson]] later discovered that Jebediah Springfield was in fact Hans Sprungfeld, a murderous pirate and enemy of George Washington, but eventually decided that the myth of Springfield should be preserved for the inspiration it gives to people and did not reveal her findings.<ref>[[Lisa the Iconoclast]]</ref>

During the early 1900s, Springfield started a holiday named "Whacking Day" with the intention of beating up Irish immigrants in Springfield, and eventually transformed into an event where Springfield's denizens beat several snakes to death. In the mid-20th century, the city reached perhaps the pinnacle of its success when it became the home of the Aquacar, a car which could be driven in water like a boat. At this point, the city's streets were literally paved with gold. But unfortunately, this economy collapsed when it was discovered that the Aquacar was prone to spontaneous explosion after 600 miles and/or knots.<ref>Are We There Yet? The Simpsons: Guide to Springfield</ref> The town has never really recovered from this tragedy (the gold was reportedly shipped to the Sultan of Brunei to encase one of his many elephant herds), but some heavy industry remains in the town, including factories for [[Ah, Fudge! During [[Homer Simpson|Homer Simpson's]] tenure as Springfield's Sanitation Commissioner, however, the whole town was relocated "five miles down the road" and reformed, as the previous location had become flooded with garbage and waste due to Homer's allowing other cities to dump their garbage into the mines that run under the town. Springfield was nearly chosen as the host for the Summer Olympic Games, but [[Bart Simpson]]'s antics angered representatives from the IOC.<ref>[[The Old Man and the "C" Student]]</ref> It was also nearly awarded an NFL franchise team, The Springfield Meltdowns, but [[Abraham Simpson]] attacked the commissioner - mistaking him for a burglar - while he was trying to use the Simpsons' phone.

Bart accidentally moons the U.S. flag, and the Simpsons appear on a talk show to explain the matter. However, the show's host makes it appear that Springfield hates America. When the rest of the U.S. reciprocates this loathing, Mayor Quimby changes the name of Springfield to "Liberty-Ville". An enormous patriotic craze ensues, wherein all items are priced at $ 17.76, even houses.<ref>[[Bart-Mangled Banner]]</ref>

The town has split at least twice. Once based on area code changes, into [[New Springfield]] and Olde Springfield (Not to be confused with the [[Olde Springfield Towne|historical site/tourist center of the same name]]).

At one point in the town's history, gambling was legalized due to an economic slump. To attract more people into the town, Springfield legalized gay marriage. The majority of the populace is also quite horrible at paying tax returns, with the majority of the population waiting until the last possible day to file their tax returns as evidenced by the huge amount of lines at the Post Office on Tax Day, with [[Otto Mann|some]] even mistaking it for a Metallica concert line, [[Kent Brockman|some]] hiring accountants who are just as bad as themselves in regards to paying taxes on time, and [[Homer Simpson|some]] even falsifying many of their actual expenditures while undergoing a last minute rundown on tax returns, misshaping the envelope containing the tax returns, and eventually being arrested by the FBI/IRS for severe audits.<ref>The Trouble With Trillions</ref>

[[Lisa Simpson]] and [[Colin]] spearheaded an effort to clean [[Lake Springfield]], which was heavily polluted. After a town-wide cleanup, the lake was polluted again single handily by [[Homer Simpson]], who dumped a large silo of "pig crap" into the lake, polluting it to unsurpassed levels. To keep the pollution from spreading to other towns, [[Russ Cargill]], head of the EPA, convinced [[President Arnold Schwarzenegger]] to seal Springfield inside a gigantic dome (built by a company owned by Cargill).

During that time, the town fell into ruin and was plagued by power shortages ([[Mr. Burns]] refused to give free power) and lack of supplies. The town was trapped under the dome for more than ninety-three days. The dome was later destroyed by [[Homer]] and [[Bart]] Simpson, and the town was repaired and rebuilt.

For a brief period, Springfield divided itself into two cities, Olde Springfield and New Springfield, on the basis of an area code division. Mayor Quimby maintained control of Olde Springfield while [[Homer Simpson]] ran New Springfield. The cities were later re-united through a concert by The Who.

The city's Main Street is in a pitiful state of disrepair, owing to citizens driving along it while carrying excessively heavy weights and leaving snow chains on their tires after the snow has melted. Visitors from elsewhere are advised to constantly wear radiation suits and carry Geiger counters, since the city is perhaps the most radioactive in the U.S. This is because the Springfield Nuclear Power Plant was built during an incredibly lax period for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in which the plant's nuclear core was surrounded not by several layers of protective concrete and graphite but by ordinary plaster with a horseshoe hanging from a nail. Also, management apparently gives employees benefits for storing nuclear waste in buildings; in some episodes, barrels of waste have been seen in the Simpsons' basement. Also perhaps due to this, the book reports that international law forbids shipping produce from Springfield; those who do venture into a local supermarket or farmer's market may find that it gives off a barely audible hum. Springfield is also "proudly" home to the state's largest tire fire, which has been continuously burning for approximately 42 years, which does nothing to improve the air quality.

Springfieldians have a very uncaring attitude towards the environment. ''[[The Springfield Shopper]]'' is proud of the fact that they use absolutely no recycled material in their paper. Even the mention of the word can cause one of the town residents to pass out from boredom, or at least slam the door in the face of plucky little girls concerned about the state of their town without a second thought, or even throw anything they can get their hands on at the Green Day raft just for saying that they wanted to talk about it. In fact, the only time they even seemed to care is literally when they drink it.

The geographic location of Springfield is never stated, but Springfield is generally considered to depict, in a lampooning manner, "bread-and-butter" Middle America, culturally somewhere between a suburb and a small town. Springfieldians are not, for the most part, cosmopolitan, and most are of lower-middle to middle income.

The "small-town nastiness" of Springfield is made evident by a benighted tradition of "snake-whacking" whereby, annually, Springfieldians bludgeon snakes to death. ''TIME'' magazine once did a cover story on Springfield entitled "America's Worst City," and ''Newsweek'' has referred to the city as "America's Crud Bucket," the town actually has a billboard saying it is the "Meanest town in America." Most citizens are very stupid, overweight, and also quick to anger, though it should be noted that Shelbyville residents are even stupider and more backwards. There is a riot almost every month. Springfield also has a strange smell that is uncomfortable to new residents. It is usually about six weeks before they adjust. Springfield is also the first United States city to abandon the Metric system.

His post was threatened by a recall election, but none of the new candidates gained enough of the vote to oust him since the lead candidate who was most voted for was disqualified from the election.

When the mayor briefly skipped town due to missing lottery funds, the town's MENSA chapter (Lisa Simpson, Dr. Hibbert, Lindsey Naegle, Comic Book Guy and Prof. Frink) technocracy took over. They changed clocks to metric time, eliminated the green lights from stoplights, and put the city on the top 300 US cities. Springfield originally existed before 1649 as Sprynge-Fielde, founder and foundation period unknown.

In its early days, the city was the target of many Native American Indian raids, and to this day many forts and trading posts remain (including [[Fort Springfield]] and [[Fort Sensible]]). It was also the site of two battles during the American Civil War.

The second (or official) founder of Springfield was pioneer Jebediah Springfield, widely celebrated in the town as a brave and proud American hero. He famously once killed a bear with his bare hands, and this deed is immortalized in a bronze statue in front of the city hall. However, revisionist historians have since determined that the bear in fact probably killed Springfield, and not vice-versa. The town motto "a noble spirit embiggens the smallest man" is attributed to Jebediah. [[Lisa Simpson]] later discovered that Jebediah Springfield was in fact Hans Sprungfeld, a murderous pirate and enemy of George Washington, but eventually decided that the myth of Springfield should be preserved for the inspiration it gives to people and did not reveal her findings.<ref>[[Lisa the Iconoclast]]</ref>

During the early 1900s, Springfield started a holiday named "Whacking Day" with the intention of beating up Irish immigrants in Springfield, and eventually transformed into an event where Springfield's denizens beat several snakes to death. [[Lisa Simpson]] and [[Colin]] spearheaded an effort to clean [[Lake Springfield]], which was heavily polluted. After a town-wide cleanup, the lake was polluted again single handily by [[Homer Simpson]], who dumped a large silo of "pig crap" into the lake, polluting it to unsurpassed levels. To keep the pollution from spreading to other towns, [[Russ Cargill]], head of the EPA, convinced [[President Arnold Schwarzenegger]] to seal Springfield inside a gigantic dome (built by a company owned by Cargill).

During that time, the town fell into ruin and was plagued by power shortages ([[Mr. Burns]] refused to give free power) and lack of supplies. The town was trapped under the dome for more than ninety-three days. The dome was later destroyed by [[Homer]] and [[Bart]] Simpson, and the town was repaired and rebuilt.

Also perhaps due to this, the book reports that international law forbids shipping produce from Springfield; those who do venture into a local supermarket or farmer's market may find that it gives off a barely audible hum. Springfield is also "proudly" home to the state's largest tire fire, which has been continuously burning for approximately 42 years, which does nothing to improve the air quality.

Springfieldians have a very uncaring attitude towards the environment. ''[[The Springfield Shopper]]'' is proud of the fact that they use absolutely no recycled material in their paper. Even the mention of the word can cause one of the town residents to pass out from boredom, or at least slam the door in the face of plucky little girls concerned about the state of their town without a second thought, or even throw anything they can get their hands on at the Green Day raft just for saying that they wanted to talk about it. In fact, the only time they even seemed to care is literally when they drink it.

There have also been instances of accidental pollution, such as when Captain Horatio McCallister [[Bart After Dark|once]] crashed an oil tanker around the springfield coast in a drunken stupor. McCallister also, while still drunk, seemed to think there was no way out of the predicament until he suggested to a newscaster to take the blame for him in the middle of a live broadcast.

The geographic location of Springfield is never stated, but Springfield is generally considered to depict, in a lampooning manner, "bread-and-butter" Middle America, culturally somewhere between a suburb and a small town. Springfieldians are not, for the most part, cosmopolitan, and most are of lower-middle to middle income.

The "small-town nastiness" of Springfield is made evident by a benighted tradition of "snake-whacking" whereby, annually, Springfieldians bludgeon snakes to death. Lisa Simpson, disgusted by this activity, encourages the people of Springfield to quit the tradition with the aid of soul singer [[Barry White]].

Springfieldians have a very bad reputation. As described by [[Dr. Hibbert]], it is a town where the smartest have no power and the stupidest run everything. A fairly accurate statement considering that the offices of police chief and mayor respectively are run by clearly incompetent and corrupt individuals, those few who are competent in official positions are soon replaced by other incompetents, such as former trash commissioner [[Ray Paterson]] being kicked out of office to be replaced by Homer Simpson. ''TIME'' magazine once did a cover story on Springfield entitled "America's Worst City," and ''Newsweek'' has referred to the city as "America's Crud Bucket," the town actually has a billboard saying it is the "Meanest town in America." Most citizens are very stupid, overweight, and also quick to anger, though it should be noted that Shelbyville residents are even stupider and more backwards. There is a riot almost every month. Springfield also has a strange smell that is uncomfortable to new residents. It is usually about six weeks before they adjust. Springfield is also the first United States city to abandon the Metric system.

The current mayor of Springfield is Joe Quimby, a sleazy womanizing politician whose served at least 5 consecutive terms as mayor unopposed, he once admitted to using the town treasury to fund the murder of his enemies. He was briefly thrown out in favor of [[Sideshow Bob]], but was later re-instated when Bob was impeached for electoral fraud. His post was threatened by a recall election, but none of the new candidates gained enough of the vote to oust him since the lead candidate who was most voted for was disqualified from the election.

When the mayor briefly skipped town due to missing lottery funds, the town's MENSA chapter (Lisa Simpson, Dr. Hibbert, Lindsey Naegle, Comic Book Guy and Prof. Frink) technocracy took over. They changed clocks to metric time, eliminated the green lights from stoplights, and put the city on the top 300 US cities. It was 299th, above East Saint Louis, Illinois <ref>[[They Saved Lisa's Brain]]</ref>.

In the United States House of Representatives, Springfield was represented by Congressman Bob Arnold, who was later expelled for taking bribes. [[Horace Wilcox ]]is stated to have been congressman since 1933 <ref>[[Mr. Spritz Goes to Washington]]</ref>. After Wilcox's death, Krusty the Clown runs for Congress as a Republican, and wins. The tactic paid off, and [[Mayor Quimby]] raised the town's alert level to "Code Black", the town's highest alert level.

The town then proceeded to clean up the lake. Mayor Quimby led the construction of a shoulder-level concrete wall, which was presumably "idiot-proof.", Cletus could not dump anything (a rat) in it. The lake was surrounded by "No Dumping" signs and all hazardous waste could only be disposed at a waste disposal plant.

The Simpsons family was soon found and captured by the EPA, thanks to a nationwide surveillance program that involved tapping into people's conversations. Homer Simpson wasn't captured, as he had left the family. The family was placed back into the Dome.

By now, Springfield was in a state of near ruin. Many of its buildings had collapsed, including the Town Hall and ''excluding ''Springfield Elementary. [[Moe Syzlak]] had become the self-proclaimed "Emperor of Springfield" (by the time Soaring Eagle came into effect, he had at least one follower, Barney Gumble).
[[1000 Mammon Street|Mr. Burns' Estate]] was looted and Mr. Burns was stripped of his wealth, with Mr. Burns even hinting that he'd watch Smithers try to commit suicide to focus on something other than his current predicament. Right after the Simpsons family returned to Springfield, Russ Cargill appeared on the television screen on the dome once again, telling the Springfieldians that the United States government's decision to trap the town inside the Dome was a mistake, and the government had commenced "Operation Soaring Eagle," which involved wiping out the entire town. A bomb hoisted onto a rope from a helicopter was lowered from a hole at the top of the Dome, with a timer set to 15 minutes. After several failed attempts at stopping the bomb (namely, using a bomb disposal robot to cut the wire, only for it to panic, grab an officers gun, and [[wikipedia:Suicide|shot itself in the head]]) The townspeople decided to climb the rope and escape through the top of the Dome, while [[Cletus]] distracted Russ Cargill. In a sick twist of fate, Homer Simpson came down the rope at the same after climbing up the Dome, knocking everyone off the rope. His act also caused the bomb to drop, making the timer freeze. Unfortunately, Homer kicked the bomb out of frustration after he discovers that he actually ruined it for everyone, which not only reactivated the timer, but also halved the time to four minutes.

While moping, he bumps into the tree and is implied to be talking to the [[Medicine Lady|Boob Lady]], who points out that he could use the Motorcycle and the stunt he used earlier to get the bomb out of the town. Deciding that he had to save the town, Homer "payed" the Boob Lady for her services (by placing it in the Tree Trunk), took the bomb and attempted to ride a motorcycle up the side of the dome (like in a motorcycle stunt cage). He took his son [[Bart Simpson]], who helped him hold the bomb. At the moment they made it to the top, [[Bart]] threw the bomb out of the hole, ten seconds before detonation. After nearly falling back into the hole, the bomb safely flipped its end onto the dome, and caused a massive explosion on the side of the Dome with a force that stripped the leaves off the nearby pine forests. The explosion caused the dome to shatter into pieces, mostly tiny and harmless except for an large one that crushed [[Dr. Nick]], one of the few casualties of the Trappuccino incident.
Homer and Bart landed safely near Springfield Gorge, only to be confronted by [[Russ Cargill]], who attempted to kill Homer after refusing to admit defeat. Before he could fire, he was knocked out by a boulder thrown at him by [[Maggie Simpson]]. Soon he falls into a strange vision where her head appears on a totem pole and she tortures him. Later in the movie when Homer is looking for his family, and becomes lost and weak due to the cold, the Medicine Woman appears in a vision and points him in the right direction with her gigantic breasts. [[Moe Syzlak]] had become the self-proclaimed "Emperor of Springfield" (by the time Soaring Eagle came into effect, he had at least one follower, Barney Gumble).
[[1000 Mammon Street|Mr. Burns' Estate]] was looted and Mr. Burns was stripped of his wealth, with Mr. Burns even hinting that he'd watch Smithers try to commit suicide to focus on something other than his current predicament. Right after the Simpsons family returned to Springfield, Russ Cargill appeared on the television screen on the dome once again, telling the Springfieldians that the United States government's decision to trap the town inside the Dome was a mistake, and the government had commenced "Operation Soaring Eagle," which involved wiping out the entire town. A bomb hoisted onto a rope from a helicopter was lowered from a hole at the top of the Dome, with a timer set to 15 minutes. After several failed attempts at stopping the bomb (namely, using a bomb disposal robot to cut the wire, only for it to panic, grab an officers gun, and [[wikipedia:Suicide|shot itself in the head]]) The townspeople decided to climb the rope and escape through the top of the Dome, while [[Cletus]] distracted Russ Cargill. In a sick twist of fate, Homer Simpson came down the rope at the same after climbing up the Dome, knocking everyone off the rope. His act also caused the bomb to drop, making the timer freeze. Unfortunately, Homer kicked the bomb out of frustration after he discovers that he actually ruined it for everyone, which not only reactivated the timer, but also halved the time to four minutes.

While moping, he bumps into the tree and is implied to be talking to the [[Medicine Lady|Boob Lady]], who points out that he could use the Motorcycle and the stunt he used earlier to get the bomb out of the town. Deciding that he had to save the town, Homer "payed" the Boob Lady for her services (by placing it in the Tree Trunk), took the bomb and attempted to ride a motorcycle up the side of the dome (like in a motorcycle stunt cage). He took his son [[Bart Simpson]], who helped him hold the bomb. At the moment they made it to the top, [[Bart]] threw the bomb out of the hole, ten seconds before detonation. After nearly falling back into the hole, the bomb safely flipped its end onto the dome, and caused a massive explosion on the side of the Dome with a force that stripped the leaves off the nearby pine forests. The explosion caused the dome to shatter into pieces, mostly tiny and harmless except for an large one that crushed [[Dr. Nick]], one of the few casualties of the Trappuccino incident.
Homer and Bart landed safely near Springfield Gorge, only to be confronted by [[Russ Cargill]], who attempted to kill Homer after refusing to admit defeat. Before he could fire, he was knocked out by a boulder thrown at him by [[Maggie Simpson]]. Homer then thanked Maggie, and remarked that she turned out to be "[[And Maggie Makes Three|a great little accident.]]"

Homer Simpson was hailed as a hero, being the man who was both the direct cause of the "Dome incident" and responsible for its end. The town of Springfield was repaired and rebuilt, and the status quo returned once again.

Sometime after the end of Trappuccino and after the town was restored, [[Mr. Burns]] attempted to seal [[Springfield]] in dome yet again in retaliation for being humiliated by the townspeople. However, he backed down after the townspeople remarked that it was done before, and [[Lou]] noted that they could always dig themselves out (which never occurred to anyone during Trappuccino).

*It is unknown why the residents of Springfield never bothered to dig a hole to get out of the dome, but a common idea is that they were not thinking through logic, but through force. This has been joked upon by the producers, who had created the characters to be dull and oblivious to their surroundings and situations.
**This may have been due to the armed guards surrounding the dome to prevent anyone escaping.

== Plot ==
The show opens to the family watching a cop drama. As the credits roll, [[Kent Brockman]] announces that the [[Springfield (The Simpsons)|Springfield Isotopes]] are in first place thanks to their new acquisition of Buck “Home run King” Mitchell. “To the bandwagon!” shouts Homer, as they all head to Springfield Stadium. Buck’s pop star wife Tabitha Vixx, (a parody of [[Britney Spears]]), sings the first few bars of the [[The Star-Spangled Banner|American national anthem]] at the game, then strips down to lingerie and launches into one of her own songs, which shocks the audience (especially Bart). After a minute of lascivious dancing, she concludes “...and the home of the brave.” Buck, humiliated, delivers a terrible performance at that night’s game, even accidentally lets go of the bat while swinging it which accidentally hits Sideshow Mel's fiance, causing the crowd to boo at him. He later sees [[Homer Simpson|Homer]] and [[Marge Simpson|Marge]] kissing on the JumboTron; later that night, Buck shows up at the Simpsons’ front door and asks for help with his marriage in exchange for season tickets.

Marge doubts their ability to counsel another couple. Her doubts lead to her and Homer flirting, which Buck sees and claims is an example of what he wants with his own wife. At the first session—taking place in the Simpsons’ living room—Buck confesses he assumed Tabitha would give up her recording career to focus on his minor league baseball career, to which she responds she won’t stay in a mismatched marriage. The session concludes with Homer asking Buck to sign dozens of baseballs (as a present for Bart), which pour virtually endlessly from the bag. At school the next day, Bart and Lisa talk about how weird it is that their parents are giving marital advice, as they always argue about everything. In the background, Homer is heard yelling,"And I say a monkey ''can'' mow our lawn!!"

The next session takes place at Buck and Tabitha’s mansion and goes much more smoothly. As a result of his now-steady personal life, Buck's game returns to superior form and the crowd loves him again. Tabitha continues her singing tour, and the Simpsons attend one of her concerts. When Tabitha begins pole dancing in lingerie again, Bart says,"I have a sudden urge to give her a five dollar bill" prompting Marge to walk him and Lisa out. Homer comes to meet Tabitha in her dressing room to check up on things. He sees a bucket of fried chicken and says,"Oh, you're so hot! I wish I'd met you before my wife!" Tabitha is at first flattered, but then realizes that he is talking to the chicken. She asks Homer to give her a neck rub; her loud moans and Homer's praise of the fried chicken he is eating are overheard through the door by Buck, who misinterprets them and barges in enraged and slugs Homer.

Now with his marriage again on the rocks, Buck goes into another slump. Homer wants to get them back together, but Marge refuses to help. He leaves, and a few minutes later Tabitha knocks on the door; she tells a shocked Marge that she plans to leave Buck for good. Marge objects, insisting they stay together. Tabitha then remembers that Buck was the first man that didn't just like her for her body, as he always complimented her on her hair. She then notices that Marge's standing lamp is dirty and begins pole dancing to clean it. Bart comes downstairs while talking on the phone and says to the other person,"Cancel all my appointments." Marge leads Tabitha out the door.

Buck Mitchell is next seen at the plate in the bottom of the ninth. Homer has hijacked the [[Duff Beer|Duff]] [[Non-rigid airship|blimp]] and spells out a message to Buck, supposedly from Tabitha proclaiming her love. Buck, reinvigorated, hits the ball into the blimp itself, causing it to crash into the field; as Homer alone runs from the wreckage, Buck realizes Tabitha had no part in the message. He charges Homer, bat in hand, but Marge delivers a monologue over the Jumbo-Vision, dissuading him. Tabitha then comes on the Jumbo-Vision to tell Buck she wants to stay together.

The episode closes with another Isotope player, Tito, saying he doesn’t care about the healed marriage because bandits just kidnapped his mother.

== Synopsis ==
After learning that he is suffering from multiple illnesses and has only a few weeks to live, [[Mr. Burns]] becomes distraught by the town's less-than-sensitive reaction to his announcement. Following an unexpected turn of events, [[Bart]] finds Mr. Burns weak and vulnerable in the wilderness and secretly takes him into the Simpsons' home. But when [[Homer]] and [[Marge]] learn about their new house guest, they decide it's payback time, and [[Lisa]], determined to stand up for Mr. Burns, learns that old habits die hard.

== Plot ==
The big TV companies make a plan to make a new disease, named [[House Cat Flu]], that will force people to be scared and watch TV for updates on the crisis. After Homer threatens to burn everything the cat has touched, Marge tells him that here is a vaccination to the flu and they travel to the hospital.

While waiting in line, Mr. Burns drives up and takes 37 vaccines, one for him, one for [[Smithers]] and 35 for his dogs, even though they are immune to the disease as they would see him take it and also want to. This causes people to hate him.

After [[Mr. Burns' doctor]] gives him the vaccine, he tells him that Burns is dying and that he only has 5 or 6 weeks to live. Mr. Burns tries to take his own life by jumping off a cliff but bounces off things, including an aeroplane. He then lands on the ground in a forest. In the morning, Bart is walking around poking things with his "poop stick". He pokes Mr. Burns and he wakes up again, with no memory at all. Bart takes him home after he almost gets his tongue pulled out by a bird.

Bart tries to hide Mr. Burns in his room before he runs away from his bath into the living room. The Simpsons then take him to the rest of the town where they decide to take it in turns with Mr. Burns where they can take revenge on him. After a while of arguing over who's turn it is to get Burns, he is returned to Homer for his turn again. However, Homer is getting bored of Burns and lets Lisa take him. Lisa takes him to [[Burns Manor|his Mansion]] where he sees a picture of him on a throne of skulls and remembers everything.

Meanwhile, Smithers had gotten a new job for Vice President [[Dick Cheney]]. He gets told to do jobs such as pull wings off of bees. Smithers obviously doesn't like his new job and boss as much as Mr. Burns.

Burns later comes and picks Smithers up and takes him back with him. The two then fly a helicopter above [[Springfield]] and reveal to the townspeople that he plans to drop a [[dome]] on Springfield in revenge for the things the townspeople done to him. Unfortunately, the townspeople reveal that [[The Simpsons Movie|it has already been done before]]. [[Lou]] also states that they could always just dig out from it, although that never occurred to anyone before. He then realises that he had survived for longer than six weeks. Marge thinks it is because he has helped people and been kind. However, after giving [[Ralph]] a sweet, he starts to die again. He then realises that it was the spite building up in him that kept him alive. Burns decides to leave, and finds [[Nelson]] in the helicopter forcing Burns to be his father for the school play, otherwise he will crash the helicopter. Burns goes to the play and seems to enjoy it.

Homer's Hunting Club has only gone hunting once because Moe said that any hunting club must engage in the sport of hunting. While Homer was hunting he accidentally shot Moe making them friends again.
==Strategies==
Homer's first strategy to shoot a turkey was to put down a plate and expect the turkey to just walk on it. After Lisa asks him "do you really think the turkey is just going to get on the plate?" Homer replies "I would."

The second strategy Homer used was to crawl around with a sniper until he finds a turkey. This almost worked as he found the turkey and was just about to shoot it when Moe scared it away using a cougar call.

'''Homer's Hunting Club''' is a hunting club that Homer once operated. It was built so Homer could legally serve drinks in his garage.

The rock band R.E.M. performed in the bar because Homer tricked them into thinking that he was a millionaire. The bar consists of a desk on the right side and a urinal at the back. Homer said that it was his bar even though he did almost no work in running it and just sat and drank with his friends. Lisa works in the bar by cutting lemons which Homer doesn't even use.

Homer's Hunting Club has only gone hunting once because Moe said that any hunting club must engage in the sport of hunting. While Homer was hunting he accidentally shot Moe making them friends again.
===Strategies===
Homer's first strategy to shoot a turkey was to put down a plate and expect the turkey to just walk on it. After Lisa asks him "do you really think the turkey is just going to get on the plate?" Homer replies "I would."

The second strategy Homer used was to crawl around with a sniper until he finds a turkey. This almost worked as he found the turkey and was just about to shoot it when Moe scared it away using a cougar call.

The house to the left of the Simpsons house, [[744 Evergreen Terrace]] is the [[Flanders family|Flanders]]'s house. The house on the right belongs to [[Ted Flanders]]. It was formerly owned by [[Sideshow Bob]], [[Ruth Powers]] and [[Laura Powers]], and [[Sylvia Winfield]] and [[Mr. Winfield]]. Marge once said that Evergreen Terrace is "the street that smells like pee". Oddly, former presidents George Bush and Gerald Ford have moved across the street. [[Ned Flanders]] is currently the owner and rents it to The Simpsons.

The house is a tan-orange two-storey detached house with a garage, basement, attic and lots of mice. On the ground floor, the front door leads straight into the foyer, with one arch in the wall to the left, leading to the sitting room, one to the right which leads into the dining room, a small cupboard and the stairs to the second floor. The sitting room and the dining room both have bay windows. At the back of the house is the living room and the kitchen, with stairs that lead to the basement (Marge discovered an secret sauna room hidden behind a heater). Although rarely seen, there is also a hallway leading to a "Rumpus Room". Homer was seen relaxing in the Rumpus Room several times <ref>[[Three Men and a Comic Book]]</ref><ref>[[Lady Bouvier's Lover]]</ref><ref>[[Brother from the Same Planet]]</ref><ref>[[The Fat and the Furriest]]</ref><ref>[[Separate Vocations]]</ref>.

The second storey of the house has [[Homer Simpson|Homer]] and [[Marge Simpson|Marge's]] bedroom (with an ensuite bathroom), [[Bart Simpson|Bart's]] bedroom, [[Lisa Simpson|Lisa's]] bedroom, [[Maggie Simpson|Maggie's]] bedroom, a bathroom and some 'empty' rooms, often shown in inconsistent places in several occasions. On the landing, there is a hatch which leads to the attic.

Occasionally there is a hammock shown tied to two trees near the fence that borders Ned Flanders backyard. It was described as a palace by [[Frank Grimes]], and [[Moe Szyslak]] observed that it contained no silverfish.The worst condition the house has been in was where it became horrifically slanted, which Bart uses as a sideshow, needing $8500 to repair, which Marge covers by getting a job.

The phone number is inconsistent, though always starting with 555. The area code was 636 before the town became too large and had to use two different area codes, changing the area code to 939.<ref>[[A Tale of Two Springfields]]</ref>

When Springfield was trapped inside a dome during the [[Trappuccino]] crisis, an angry mob converged onto the house as a part of their effort to kill Homer Simpson, who was responsible for the town's ordeal. The house is completely devoured and destroyed with all possessions lost after a sink hole in Maggie's sandpit expands when the Police shot bullets into it (the Simpsons family escaped through the sinkhole). After the dome was destroyed, the townsfolk and the family rebuild the house in exactly the same manner as it was before, restoring the "status quo" <ref>[[The Simpsons Movie]]</ref>.

I think the color of the sidebar doesn't really match with the wiki, it's too bright and "neon-ish" and it kind of repels the eyes. I think it would be better if it was another tone of yellow. What do you think?

:God, I hope we aren't making that stupid Rich Text editor here. It is fairly simple actually. Just copy and paste the code from [[Template:Location]]. The code in the box under Use. Then fill in the parameters. To add navboxes and other templates without parameters, just put <nowiki>{{Template name}}</nowiki> on the article. All infoboxes should have a use section. Like it? I believe my image editing skills have gotten much better since the last time I made anything for Wikisimpsons. Anyway, I made this one with a stand underneath, the word 'Wikisimpsons' on the stand (So Simpsons Wiki 'can't/Will be harder to' copy this image for themselves). == A couple of inboxes that would be useful ==

1) Fictional website -- as in the "Websites on The Simpsons" category. This would include sites like stupidflanders.org and nuclear-secrets.com
2) Movie -- there are several movie articles that have TV Show infoboxes, which shouldn't be.
