They see a bottle of Beer going down the steps and Barney go down with it, bowling over the orchestra then saying "Where's the Beatles" and burping. The American anthem is played by the orchestra, and afterwards Matt Groening arrives, introducing the show and Hank Azaria.

Hank starts making the voices of Moe, Comic Book Guy, Bumblebee Man and Chief Wiggum, singing "Let It Go" too with Wiggum's voice, while a picture of Chief Wiggum as Elsa and Ralph as Olaf appears on screen.

Beverly D'Angelo and Yeardley Smith arrives, and after showing a scene from "Colonel Homer", Baverly (dressed as Lurleen) sings "Bagged Me a Homer".

Hans Zimmer is invited to the stage by Hank next, talking about The Simpsons Movie, with scenes from it are shown, with The Longest Daycare shown right afterwards.

Yeardley Smith next talks about special guest stars before introducing Kipp Lennon and Nancy Cartwright singing Happy Birthday, Lisa with scenes from "Stark Raving Dad".

After showing the scene from "That '90s Show" he's in, "Weird Al" Yankovic arrives next on the stage singing a Jack & Diane parody.

Meanwhile the Simpsons family arrives at the backstage where Homer activates some fireworks on the fireworks console and is subsequentally beat up by security, the orchestra and Lisa, starting the intermission.

After the intermission, Hans Zimmer, dressed as Number 1, and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles, dressed as the Stonecutters, sings Spider-Pig.

Next, the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles sings We Do (The Stonecutters' Song) and See My Vest, removing their robes, revealing vests underneath.

Conan O'Brien, dressed as Lyle Lanley, arrives on stage and talks about his work on the show, and afterwards with Hank Azaria and the Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles sung The Monorail Song.

Hank is next dressed up as Duffman, while cheerleaders ("Alone Again, Natura-Diddily") were ready to shoot t-shirts from the t-shirt cannons, but Yeardley Smith/Lisa stops them, and they start handing over t-shirts normally to the public.

Hank, dressed as Moe, and Nancy Cartwright, reenacts the Ivana Tinkle prank call from "New Kid on the Block" next.

Nancy, after making the voice of Ralph, together with Yeardley, thanks those who left the show in this years, thanking the presidents of Fox, with a list of them on screen, with Ralph Wiggum shown as the next one from 2021 onwardm, and then sing Minimum Wage Nanny.

Hank, after saying thanks to Alf Clausen, present in the public, introduces Chris Ledesma, which conducts a medley of his works including Cut Every Corner and Señor Burns.

Afterwards, after showing Meat and You: Partners in Freedom, in tribute to Phil Hartman, Hank introduces Jon Lovitz that sings Stop the Planet of the Apes I Want to Get Off.

Hank next introduces David Silverman and the Vaud and the Villains singing We Put the Spring in Springfield.

Homer is finally going to activate the fireworks at the right time, but Maggie presses the "Simpsons Finale" button before him, starting them. Scenes from some episodes are shown through the fireworks:
*The Simpsons Movie: Homer and Bart saving Springfield from the bomb and destroying the dome
*"Dial "N" for Nerder": Homer making love to the doner kebab
*"The Last of the Red Hat Mamas": Ralph picking the same easter egg over and over and throwing it in his broken egg basket
*Homer's Evolution couch gag
*"A Tree Grows in Springfield": Homer throwing Bart in the lion's den)
*The Simpsons Movie: Bambi and the other animals of the forest undressing Marge and Homer in the cabin scene
And they end with credits for all the people that worked on the show.

Hank next talks about the song Michael Jackson co-wrote, and Nancy comes on stage to sing that song, after an appearance by Tony Hawk, with the rest of the people that participated at the show dancing, Do the Bartman.

Everyone on stage takes their leave after bowing, to the theme song, to conclude the show.

Matthew Abram "Matt" Groening (born February 15, 1954) is an American cartoonist, screenwriter, producer, animator, author, musician, comedian, and voice actor. He is the creator of the comic strip Life in Hell and television series' The Simpsons, Futurama and Disenchantment. Groening made his first professional cartoon sale of Life in Hell to the avant-garde Wet magazine in 1978. The cartoon is still carried in 250 weekly newspapers. He was also interviewed in The Simpsons: Celebrity Friends, The Simpsons: Mischief & Mayhem, The Simpsons: Access All Areas, The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3-D! On Ice!, The Simpsons: America's First Family, and The Simpsons: A Culture Show. He also appeared in The Simpsons Take the Bowl.

History
Life in Hell caught the attention of James L. Brooks. In 1985, Brooks contacted Groening with the proposition of working in animation for the FOX variety show The Tracey Ullman Show. Originally, Brooks wanted Groening to adapt his Life in Hell characters for the show. Fearing the loss of ownership rights, Groening decided to create something new and came up with a cartoon family, the Simpsons, and named the members after his own parents and sisters — while Bart was an anagram of the word brat. The shorts would be spun off into their own series: The Simpsons, which has since aired more than 720 episodes in 33 seasons. In 1997, Groening got together with David X. Cohen and developed Futurama, an animated series about life in the year 3000, which premiered in 1999. After four years on the air, the show was canceled by Fox in 2003, but Comedy Central commissioned 16 new episodes from four direct-to-DVD movies. In June 2009, Comedy Central ordered 26 new episodes of Futurama, to be aired over two seasons. His advice to beginning cartoonists is to not care about what other people think and just try to make yourself laugh. He said that if he did not think up the Simpsons, he would probably be in a tire shop, drawing doodles of his boss on the break room wall.

Groening has won 13 Primetime Emmy Awards, 12 for The Simpsons and one for Futurama as well as a British Comedy Award for "outstanding contribution to comedy" in 2004. In 2002, he won the National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award for his work on Life in Hell. In some Simpsons Comics, he gives himself a fake title, such as "Big Daddy" (Taming Your Wild Child), "Cartoonist Gone Wild" (Bart's Beard), and "Former Heartthrob" (Faking the Band).

Groening has voiced Matt Groening on a few occasions, "My Big Fat Geek Wedding", The Simpsons Game and "Homer the Whopper". He also voiced a soccer announcer in "Holidays of Future Passed".

Biography
Early life
Groening was born on February 15, 1954 in Portland, Oregon. He grew up in Portland, and attended Ainsworth Elementary School, and Lincoln High School. He was the middle child of five children. His Norwegian mother, Margaret Wiggum, was once a teacher, and his German father, Homer Philip Groening, was a filmmaker, advertiser, writer and cartoonist. Homer, born in Main Centre, Saskatchewan, Canada, grew up in a Mennonite, Plautdietsch-speaking family. Matt's grandfather Abram Groening was a professor at Tabor College, a Mennonite Brethren liberal arts college in Hillsboro, Kansas before moving to Albany College (now known as Lewis and Clark College) in Oregon in 1930.

From 1972 to 1977, Groening attended The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, a liberal school which he described as "a hippie college, with no grades or required classes, that drew every weirdo in the Northwest." He served as the editor of the campus newspaper, The Cooper Point Journal, for which he also wrote articles and drew cartoons. He befriended fellow cartoonist Lynda Barry after discovering that she had written a fan letter to Joseph Heller, one of Groening's favorite authors, and had gotten a reply back. Groening has credited Barry with being "probably [his] biggest inspiration." He has also cited the Disney animated film One Hundred and One Dalmatians as what got him interested in cartoons.

Futurama
Futurama
After spending a few years researching science fiction, Groening got together with Simpsons writer/producer David X. Cohen (still known as David S. Cohen at the time) in 1997 and developed Futurama, an animated series about life in the year 3000. By the time they pitched the series to Fox in April 1998, Groening and Cohen had composed many characters and storylines; Groening claimed they had gone "overboard" in their discussions. Groening described trying to get the show on the air as "by far the worst experience of [his] grown-up life." The show premiered on March 28, 1999. Groening's sole writing credit for the show was the premiere episode, "Space Pilot 3000", co-written with Cohen.

After four years on the air, the show was cancelled by Fox. In a similar situation as Family Guy, however, strong DVD sales and very stable ratings on Cartoon Network brought Futurama back to life. When Comedy Central began negotiating for the rights to air Futurama reruns, Fox suggested that there was a possibility of also creating new episodes. When Comedy Central committed to sixteen new episodes, it was decided that four straight-to-DVD films—Bender's Big Score (2007), The Beast with a Billion Backs (2008), Bender's Game (2008) and Into the Wild Green Yonder (2009)—would be produced. Since no new Futurama projects were in production, the movie Into the Wild Green Yonder was designed to stand as the Futurama series finale. However, Groening had expressed a desire to continue the Futurama franchise in some form, including as a theatrical film. In an interview with CNN, Groening said that "we have a great relationship with Comedy Central and we would love to do more episodes for them, but I don't know...We're having discussions and there is some enthusiasm but I can't tell if it's just me."

Awards
Groening has been nominated for 25 Emmy awards and has won eleven: ten for The Simpsons and one for Futurama in the "Outstanding Animated Program (for programming one hour or less)" category.

Groening received the 2002 National Cartoonist Society Reuben Award, and had been nominated for the same award in 2000. He received a British Comedy Award for "outstanding contribution to comedy" in 2004.

TheSimpsons.com is the official website for The Simpsons. The website contains various information for the series, including episode recaps, character biographies, and episode clips. In September 2011, the website revamped its content and now has an interactive "Springfield Career Day", where readers can switch between booths to find out different information. In 2015, the website was revamped again and was called Simpsons World. Currently, the website redirects to the page of The Simpsons on FOX.com.

Character biographies
The website has the biographies of only the main and side characters. Characters are sorted by their last name and each has a few paragraphs for a biography as well as at least one user interactive object with each character's biography, and a photo.

There is also a "The Simpsons Filing Cabinet Giveaway", where every day a visitor to TheSimpsons.com gets an exclusive piece of animation. One of the pieces of animation is Nelson going "Ha ha!".

List of characters with biographies
*Comic Book Guy
**Page features a clickable mouse which upon being clicked shows a clip of a nude woman being slowly loaded, and a popup ad for Homer's Internet King business appearing. A reference to the same clip in "Das Bus".
*Carl Carlson
**Page features a clickable green splotch of goo that bubbles when clicked and a radioactive rod which falls through the paper when clicked.
*Charles Montgomery Burns
**Page has a knees-to-head sized portrait of Burns which, when clicked, causes the three dots on his head to fall off one at a time. Burns then bends over and reaches out of the portrait to pick them up, putting them back on his head.
*Selma Bouvier
**Page has Jub-Jub, Selma's pet iguana sitting on it. When clicked the iguana pokes out its tongue and Selma's voice says "Jub-Jub" in the background.
*Patty Bouvier
**Page features Homer's failed chauffeur's driving test. Clicking a place on the test will cause Patty's hand to stamp a "FAILED" stamp onto it. Clicking on different places will have the stamp stamped onto a different place.
*Julius Hibbert
**The page features 3 interactive objects: a light reflecting mirror band that doctors wear on their heads, which when clicked, plays Hibbert's catchphrase laugh; a stethoscope that plays the sound of a beating heart when clicked. A syringe with green fluid, when clicked causes the syringe to squirt out all its fluid, causing Dr. Hibbert to complain that the viewer is wasting thousands of dollars' worth of Interferon, as heard in "Little Big Mom".
*Barney Gumble
**When the page is opened there is a full coffee cup, and an empty beer cup. Clicking on the coffee cup will cause it to empty and fill the beer cup. When clicking on the beer cup, it empties and the coffee cup fills up.
*Todd Flanders
**Clicking on the golf-ball on the page causes it to pop out of its hole, a golf club then knocks it back into its whole, making Rodd and Todd to shout "Yay".
*Rod Flanders
**Clicking on Billy Graham's Bible Blaster opens up the actual game as seen in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily".
*Ned Flanders
**A video camera can play a short section from his dating video (as in "Alone Again, Natura-Diddily") and some more pictures when clicked.
*Krusty
**There are 2 interactive pieces of Krusty the Clown merchandise, each of which, when clicked, attempts to function then breaks down.
*Edna Krabappel
**Page features a fold out heart, clicking on it once opens up the left, showing Edna on the left and Principal Skinner in the middle, clicking on it again shows Agnes Skinner on the right, pulling on Principal Skinner's ear.
*Itchy
**Page has a target board and a picture of Scratchy's face attached. Clicking will throw a variety of objects at it, including knives and axes.
*Martin Prince
**Page features an interactive Plasma globe.
*Nelson Muntz
**A "Whack-a-nerd" game wherein clicking on a picture (either of Martin, Milhouse, Ralph or Wendell) will have Nelson punch it.
*Apu Nahasapeemapetilon
**Clicking on a Kwik-E-Mart coupon will play an animation of Apu serving a Squishee.
*Lenny Leonard
**Clicking on Lenny's wallet opens it up, showing two pictures of Carl and one of Mount Carlmore (as seen in "Half-Decent Proposal").
*Otto Mann
**Clicking on a tape plays Otto's children's bus songs, as in "Das Bus."
*Snowball II
**Opening the biography will cause a fur ball to hit the page, then a fur ball can be shot at the page by further clicking.
*Moe Szyslak
**A glass of Flaming Homer will erupt in flames when clicked; an interactive Duff calendar has stickers that cover Moe's face which are peeled off one at a time after clicking, as in "Pygmoelian".
*Waylon Smithers, Jr.
**When a computer mouse is clicked a black-and-white video of a naked Mr. Burns uttering "hello Smithers, you're quite good at turning me on!" plays (as seen in "Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy").
*Marge Simpson
**Clicking on the page shows Marge's hand cleaning up food crumbs and other things on the page.
*Seymour Skinner
**When a red marker is clicked, the hand of El Barto graffitis stereotypically demonic features onto a photo of Skinner's face and signs his name onto the page.
*Homer Simpson
**The page has a memory game, a remote that when some buttons are clicked makes a photo of Homer experience different television effects. Clicking on a donut squishes it, squirting out pink liquid.

*Lisa Simpson
**Clicking on a cover for Sax on the Beach shows a saxophone on the page, which has flashing buttons to teach the opening theme music for The Simpsons (saxophone buttons and sounds do not match those of a saxophone in reality).
*Maggie Simpson
**Clicking on the edges of the page makes Maggie's pacifier appear and plays Maggie's catchphrase: the "suck" sound.
*Abe Simpson
**Clicking on his pair of fake teeth make them shut then open again. Clicking on a bag with two pennies inside plays a different Abe Simpson quote every time.
*Bart Simpson
**Clicking on his slingshot opens up a target-shooting minigame.
*Santa's Little Helper
**Clicking on a new shoe shows it getting ripped up, a reference to Santa's Little Helper's constant destruction of items and general behavioral problems as first explored in "Bart's Dog Gets an "F"".
*Scratchy
**Clicking on a remote plays an Itchy and Scratchy episode based on an existing Itchy and Scratchy episode.

While browsing the character bios, sometimes a red light starts flashing while disco music plays, Disco Stu then walks past dancing.

So you think you know The Simpsons? Quiz
There was a quiz on the website which asked a set of multi-choice questions (3 choices) and had a picture of Comic Book Guy.

Designs
The site has had many various changes to its design throughout its time online. The main design is the family looking behind the couch at us. Those include:
*St. Patrick's Day design 2011 - While Marge looks on, Bart blows a horn into Homer's ear while he is asleep, wearing a hat and holding a beer mug; Santa's Little Helper drinks the beer; Lisa holds a four-leafed clover; A leprechaun shakes his fists at Maggie, who is playing in a mug of gold while a rainbow shines above her.
*Easter design 2011 - Bart is dressed as the Easter Bunny while a group of chicks follow him.
*Mother's Day design 2011 - Bart, Lisa and Maggie hold up their present to Marge for Mother's Day.
*Father's Day designs 2011 - (1) On Father's Day, Bart, Lisa and Maggie use up all of Homer's Krusty-O's; (2) Bart, Lisa and Maggie are holding card with the letters on that make "DAD", but Maggie's is upside down.
*July 4 design 2011 - The family is watching fireworks.
*Summer design 2011 - The Simpsons swimming in a river.
