Sorry i talk a lot... Do you have any pages in mind that you want done? I can do anything but episodes. I also noticed our help page just says "help" and our how to help only says "Add correct Simpsons Content to the Site!" I'm only working on this wiki in my spare time. So please excuse the the timing of my response. 
If you want to help take a look at the wanted pages section or feel free to add content to current pages. Images for "The Characters" section would be a nice addition. Again thanks for your interest.

With your idea we already have a page named wanted pages.
You can used the How to help to propagate your idea listed above. 
PNG image files currently work with the site here is an example
I don't just give out sysop rights out to anyone. Work on the site for a while, 
if I like your work you will receive more rights.

PNG files work fine. Every Image I've loaded on this site is PNG including yours , only thing that doesn't work are thumbnails which is an issue with imagemagic that i'm working on. but works with Gif files?

I did some research found out it was a Image format decoding issue. After manualy compiling JPEG from Independent JPEG Group, The JasPer JPEG Ver2 and LibPNG, then compiling ImageMagick from source it fixed the Thumbnail Issue! YAY

Yes, I've done much on the front and backend to improve the wiki. Work seems to get in the way alot but I still try to find time to work on the site. It will be nice to see the pictures you are talking about. The one thing this site needs are graphics. - digitalb0y

Welcome back Kanjiro It must be a MIME type configuration issue with the Media wiki upgrade I did a litle while back, it looks like it only has issues with PNGs. - digitalb0y

Yes It was a mime type config issue and has been fixed. - digitalb0y

The Homer logo on all the pages was lookin a little pixelated (when using the _ycgu_max_ theme). I fixed it up. Here are two versions: one has a transparent background, and the other a blue/yellow background, which will probably produce better results in the _ycgu_max_ theme than relying on browsers to blend the foreground and background images. Feel free to use one of these:
